Why Use Nickel-Plated Strip?

The strip provides a low-resistance electrical path between cells while allowing the cells to be joined using a spot welder. Spot welding is generally preferred over soldering directly to lithium-ion cells because prolonged heat can damage the cell.

Installation

Arrange the 18650 cells according to the required series/parallel configuration.
Place the nickel-plated strip across the cell terminals.
Use a suitable battery spot welder to weld the strip to the cell terminals.
Connect the appropriate BMS for the battery configuration.
Check polarity, cell voltage, insulation, and connections before use.
